Additonal Quilting Projects  >>
Mari-Lee Seei started Prairie Moon Quilting in October, 2003.

She takes pride in workmanship, taking special care of your quilt while in her possession, and offers fast turn around and reasonable prices.

She offers different levels of hand-guided machine quilting. Each level is based on how much quilting and detail you would like on your quilt.

Her goal is to help you quickly achieve the finished look you envision for your quilt. She looks forward to helping you select design elements to compliment your pieced top.

For information or to schedule a consultation, send her an email or give her a call at (515) 999-2347.

General Quilting Information

Basic Quilting: .01 cent per square inch These are the simplest patterns. Your quilt will have rows of continuous quilting designs that go from one edge of the quilt to the other. These patterns include allover meander, shooting stars, and hearts and loops

Advanced Quilting: .015 cent per square inch These patterns include more intricate designs such as fancy flowers, leaves or meandering. Your quilt will have rows of continuous quilting designs that for from one edge of the quilt to the other and a complimenting border finish.

Custom Quilting: .015 to .02 per square inch A custom pattern requires a more individualized service that is designed to enhance your quilt's overall appearance. It might include outlining individual blocks, stippling and meandering in the background, and selectively placed block designs. These patterns include stitch in the ditch, block motifs, feathers, cross hatch, and other freehand motion designs to customize your quilt top.

Batting: You can supply your favorite batting, or I can provide batting for your project.

How to Prepare Your Quilt Top for Quilting: Press your quilt top and backing. If your quilt has a top or bottom, please mark the top of the quilt with a safety pin. You will need to supply the backing. It must be at least 3” wider and longer than your quilt top on all sides to allow for stretching.
